        Hello Fresh needs to work on customer service. It cancels out the good food and easy and unique recipes. They continue to use a 2nd rate company to ship their meals and it is unacceptable. All the reviews are horrible. I had issues and called over 5 times in 3 weeks and Hello Fresh kept giving me the run around: "Well, next week it will take effect." "We needed 2 more weeks to change this." Getting the people (at SSW) to deliver timely and responsibly is such a hassle. We live in Texas, this food can't sit out in 100 degree heat for hours, I need to have some idea of when to get it inside. Done. This was the last strike (and they blamed it now on the hurricane, 300 miles away). My food doesn't go through the hurricane route. If you want a more convenient way to live healthy- this isn't the answer.

        I'd give it zero star if possible. Worst customer service. Phone keeps dropping after being put on hold forever. They offered a free box as a gift, when I accepted, charged me for 2 full weeks (not cheap at $69 a week !!), sent me 3 boxes all at once of dishes I never wanted. Now my frig is full of stuff I never wanted and are starting to rot. What a nightmare. Also the stuff they send is not great. I can purchase for $30 what they charge $69. A waste of time and money. Oh, if you complain, they will NEVER refund you. Good luck.

        I've gotten several deliveries so far and have to say I've been quite impressed at the quality of the food provided. I have no complaints. For me, this is much easier and saves me time having to plan out meals, write a grocery list and go to grocery store. For me, it's so hard to shop and make meals for 1 person. I found that at the end of the week I was throwing so much food away and this is definitely cheaper and healthier than eating out. So far I haven't had to throw left overs away. I make a meal that night and then take the left overs to work for my lunch the next day. I love the step by step instructions. I look forward to picking my meals and receiving my box each week. I would recommend to everyone!

        We've received Hello Fresh for the past month. There are definitely pros and cons. We've had 11 meals so far. We would be having the 12th tonight, but the baby bok choy is wilted and has big brown spots. I refuse to run to the store any more to replace inferior ingredients. Pros: Most of the meals have tasted very good. There have only been 3 or 4 that I would never make again. It's nice trying new things. It's so easy to get into a rut of making meals that work. Cons: Last week our box didn't contain the recipe cards and our printer wasn't working, so I couldn't start the meal before my boyfriend got home. That's far from the biggest problem, but an irritation nonetheless. Out of all the meals with fresh herbs, there have been only 2 meals in which the herbs were usable. The zucchini arrives cut and mangled. And there was one meal in which one of the ingredients was missing. All of these things led me to run to the store several times (and always at the last minute as I'm starting the prepare dinner). I wanted to follow the recipes to the letter, so I ran to the store to replace the herbs, zucchini, lime, etc. Perhaps I'm expecting too much, but I expect the meal to be somewhat authentic. The Moo Shu Pork came with pork sausage and Mexican flour tortillas. That's a big no-no as far as I'm concerned. Also, the recipe called for mayonaise (which they provided). Mayonaise isn't a staple in chinese food. I've decided to cancel the service. There's a lot of competition out there and someone has to be able to do it better.

        Greasy meat & wilted green onions

        I like nearly everything, but I have 2 complaints: 1. Package all veggies in a plastic or cellophane bag. I get green onions loose in the paper bag that are wilted and unusuable on arrival. 2. When cooking meat like beef or pork, directions should have meat cooked BEFORE adding veggies to the same skillet. I made Moo Shoo tacos and the recipe had you add oil to a skillet and cook cabbage, onion and mushrooms first, then add ground pork to brown. This is backwards to everything I know! Result was too much grease in the cooked mixture and cabbage was overcooked! WRONG INSTRUCTIONS!!

        Since I started the subscription, I have had problems. The first delivery was missing important ingredients. The second delivery the meals were not what I ordered on the HF app and the meat packaging was leaking though the bottom of the box. The third delivery contained spoiled salad greens that could not be used. This time I was not able to login into the app or the website, after multiple attempts to reset the password. They sent meals that I can not eat and I was told they don't accept returns! I was going to refuse delivery but the box was left on my porch without anyone ringing the doorbell. Customer service only responds by apologizing, and offering a credit but not this time. I have cancelled the subscription, and will pursue a refund for the last delivery through PayPal. Stay far, far away from Hello Fresh. The menus and preparation instructions are well done, the actual service is TERRIBLE!

        My brother introduced me to Hello Fresh by sending me 6 free meals. I ordered 3-2 person meals. I got basically what I would consider 3-1 person meals. I contacted them and was told that the portions were enough for 2 people. While I agree that one 12 oz steak is enough for 2, for the premium price ($10, 5 per meal) is not reasonable. for $10 I can buy almost 2 16 oz steaks at the grocery store! I got 12 oz of chicken for 2. again enough for two but not for the price. I can get a lot of chicken for $10 (I am allowing the other $10 for the rest of the ingredients). Unless you are pressed for time and cannot go to the grocery store this is not a good option.

        Extremely Disappointing Service

        I received my first box around 6:45pm today. I had been tracking my box ALL day as the tracking number showed me it had been out for deliver since 4:45 am this morning. When I opened my box, the food was at room temperature, the ice packs were already melted and were leaking inside the box causing the actual outside of the box to start breaking apart. One of the dishes in my order was Cob... And there is no way I would be eating fish that has been exposed to room temperature all day long as I don't want to get food poisoned. I called customer service and at first they offered me a credit to a free box... Why in the world would I want any more food from this vendor after this experience? So, I asked for my money back... It took a while to "convinced" this people that the best way to go here was a refund! So, they "made an exception" and I am supposed to get a refund for my box of room temperature food in 3 business days. Good customer service, lousy service. I am very disappointed with my experience and I wouldn't recommend this vendor to anybody in the future. Hopefully my bad experience today was an isolated case and others are enjoying a good food service... I can only wish for that so nobody else will have to throw food in the trash like I just did this evening.

        The vegetarian offerings are over priced, underwhelming, and caloric, and we've had a more than reasonable amount of spoilage. This week's offerings were spectacularly awful: a grilled cheese sandwich, moldy wontons, and 880-calorie tacos. The customer service is worthless and rude. They don't care.

        I emailed to cancel an order a week ahead and they still charged my account and refused me a refund. They gave me one excuse after another for not returning my payment. They made it to be my fault and that I am the only person to have this problem with them. Mind you that I only sign up for a two week trial period. The delivery boy would not take the box back and the representative said that they would not refund me my payment. They are the worse People that I had to deal with. The biggest THIEVES in the food industry!!! Buyers beware.

        1st box was good. Second box not so good. Third box terrible. Where does the fresh phrase come in. 2 lots of Coriander in the packs were black. One carrot was rotten. 2 Aubergines had damaged skins and were brown inside . Complained on the second box and was offered £10 off the next which I was forced to take. Paypal had refused payment on the third box and they have now started the old strong arm tactics.. Pay or your bill goes up Well if you want a fight good for you. I have 18000 hits on my trip Adviser site and am 1 of the top 5 for honest reviews Now on to Simply Cook. Just buy the spices and the recipe Now I buy my own fresh produce and meat. Disgusting Customer Service using bullying tactics and clearly I am not the only one complaining.

        I'm disappointed with the quality of the produce. My cilantro was brown and rotten...most of it...and my asparagus was wilting. Horrible quality! It does not even compare to Blue Apron. I will never recommend it.

        I have ordered for awhile and the first couple of boxes were perfect. Then the food began to arrive in poor shape - cucumbers wrinkled, tomatoes white, not juicy, lettuce wilted, even tortilla packages open and contents dried out. Gel packs torn and the gel mess all over the box. I've been giving feedback after each delivery. Today was the final straw. 2 of 3 bags of veggies were mushy. Customer service is willing to credit me for that box, but they will only give me an account credit for my next delivery rather than back on my credit card. So I have to order another substandard box ? My advice - find another company to order from.

        I joined hello fresh due to a free trial offered to me for the first month. I cancelled after the first month but was still charged in the next month! They also refused to refund.
